Our Michigan!

For social studies we began talking about continents, countries, states and cities and how they fit within each other. I thought it would be a great idea to print out a map of our state that they could color then outline in yarn to really get familiar with our state. In the State of Michigan we are blessed with a beautiful and unique state that I believe all of our students should be aware of. We put a star where our city is so that they would have an idea where they were on what to them seems like a huge state It was also some great fine motor practice because it wasn't easy to glue the string around the boarder.
